Sunset Cokers
A print of the original 24X36 in. painting on either high-quality Luster Paper or on high gloss metal.
This was the first Refinery painting I ever created. It was the middle of winter, it was freezing cold and dark. I was working outside, a laborer at the time, and I was having a hard time understanding how I had gotten to this point in my life. I looked up at the cokers and started thinking about all the work and hours that had gone into building them and how I was just a small piece of that. It started to dawn on me how immense of an undertaking this truly was and how impressive humans can be when we work together. It made me proud to be a part of it, even if it was just for a little while. I started seeing that place differently and my paintings reflect that.
